Blijdorp

Terms of Use

Effective date: 6 July 2026 · Version 1.0

These terms govern your use of the Blijdorp app, operated by Svetlana Zigalkina de Boer, Rotterdam, the Netherlands ("we"). By creating an account you agree to them. The short version: be real, be kind, and use the app to actually meet your neighbours.

1. What Blijdorp is

Blijdorp is an invitation-only community app that helps new and expecting mothers in the Blijdorp area of Rotterdam find each other, chat and plan meetups. The app is free of charge for members.

2. Your account

3. Community rules

Blijdorp is a living room, not a marketplace or a stage. You agree not to:

You can block any member (works both ways, immediately) and report behaviour to us in-app. We moderate actively: we may remove content, suspend or permanently remove accounts that break these rules, with or without notice, to protect the community.

4. Your content

Messages, invites and profile information remain yours. You grant us the limited licence needed to store and display them to their intended audience inside the app — nothing more. We do not use your content for advertising or sell it. Deleting your account permanently deletes your content (see the Privacy Policy).

5. Meeting in real life

The whole point of Blijdorp is real-world meetups — and you decide with whom, where and when. Meetups happen at your own responsibility; we are not a party to them and cannot vouch for any member. Use the same common sense you would with any new acquaintance, and report any concerning behaviour to us.

6. Availability and changes

Blijdorp is a young, growing service provided "as is". We work hard to keep it running, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability, and we may change or discontinue features as the product evolves. We will communicate significant changes in the app.

7. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our liability for damages arising from the use of the app is limited to what mandatory Dutch consumer law provides. Nothing in these terms limits liability for intent or gross negligence, or affects your statutory rights as a consumer in the EU.

8. Ending your membership

You can delete your account at any time (Edit profile → Delete account) — erasure is immediate and permanent. We may end or suspend your membership if you materially breach these terms.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by Dutch law. Disputes are submitted to the competent court in Rotterdam, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections that let you litigate where you live.

10. Contact

The in-app support form (Me → Contact support).
